Job Description


We are looking for a Sr. Manufacturing Engineer – Metallurgic Process in São José dos Campos – Brazil.


Responsibilities:


 


  • Develop, deploy and improve Metallurgical processes (Heat and Thermo-chemical treatments, Galvanic processes, Friction and Plasma Welding) to assure production capacity, continuity, operators and environmental safety, capability and quality;

  • Lead process developments through equipment acquisition, upgrades or replacements, development and deployment of process instructions, productivity improvements;

  • Lead or support multifunctional teams to improve quality on special process, through scrap reduction, customers and warranty failure analysis or flawless launch of new products through PFMEA review and PPAP submissions;

  • Lead suppliers from direct and indirect material to ensure and improve their quality and performance;

  • Perform and support analysis on failed parts from field, customers tests, customers lines and from internal productive process and propose and implement corrective actions;

  • Support customers and Eaton Engineering on valves projects and new product introduction;

  • Responsible for CQI-9 Process.

Qualifications

Education / Experience required to meet position qualifications: 


  • Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgical or Materials Engineering;
  • Knowledge in Thermo-Chemical Treatments;
  • Knowledge of CQI-9;
  • Experience with Metallurgic Process;
  • Experience with quality tools like FMEA, PPAP and APQP;
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing;
  • Knowledge of Environmental and Safety procedures;
  • Experience with large scale manufacturing industry;
  • Availability to travel – 25%;
  • Advanced English. 


Education / Experience preferred to meet position qualifications: 


  • Master’s Degree in Material Science Engineering;

  • Experience in automotive industry.
