Eaton’s Hydraulic division is currently seeking a GTM- Finance Supervisor to join our team. This position is based at our Queretaro Facility

The GTM-Finance Supervisor is responsible for ensuring temporary inventory and import/export activity meet with all Mexican Customs regulations for the site, including material, information and technology. Maintain current certifications and government programs such as IMMEX, PROSEC, NEEC programs, and VAT certification. The GTM Supervisor is responsible for engagement delivery, customs compliance and quality, productivity and report management and exception management, as well as reporting metrics or KPIs.

Some activities related with the position will be:

 a. Responsible for the temporary inventory management of MX site in charge.

 b. Responsible to lead the GTM local team in order to perform the import/export and the annex 24/31 reconciliations and compliance.
c. Ensure the data integrity of Trade Compliance processes.
d. Responsible for ensuring the full compliance with New Customs Regulations, Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) Classifications Skills USA/ Mexico, ITAR regulations, military license agreement, Free trade agreements, etc.
e. Oversee the import/export of raw materials, finished goods, equipment, scrap, non-productive material, excess and obsolete (E&O) operation on a monthly basis.
f. Coordinate audits to the annex 24 (Interfaces, Operation’s Report, I/E Modules, BOM’s, Product Values & Costs, Country of Origin, NAFTA Certificates or Manufacturer Affidavit, Duty Payments, Eight Rule, Prosec’s) and maintain this info updated in the system.
g. Oversee Inventory Reconciliation between Annex 24 and MFG Pro including: cycle counts, receiving discrepancies, Inventory adjustments, company losses, Perpetual Inventories, company Sales.
h. Achieve metrics and goals related to Trade Compliance.
i. Ensure the functionality of the annex 24 (11 modules).
j. Responsible for maintaining the electronic or hard copy records for the Customs Operations performed in Mexico such as Pediments, HTS catalogs, reports of Annex 31, Annex 24, Annex 22.
k. Provide Customs support to the business.
l. Develop strategic plans to avoid customs risk.
m. Maintain strong communication with all members of the business
n. Attend customs audits and any other requirements from SAT.
o. Attend internal customs audits from Eaton Internal Audit team or Peer Reviews Audits.
p. Oversee inventory reconciliation of Fixed Assets vs Import Records (Open Balance).
q. Ability to work with the business to validate the necessary information of Raw Materials, Identify New products and BOM’s as well as with other departments that need support from the Trade Compliance team.
r. Execute all applicable Mexico import/export compliance processes and procedures in conjunction with various Trade Compliance functions within Eaton and external resources; to enhance the import and export operation.
s. Provide accurate information to TAX team related to the VAT certification including:
 a. Monthly reports
 b. Temporary inventory conciliations a month

 c . Assistance to fix deviations on the temporary inventory

t. Oversee Mexican sites in charge, being in compliance with reporting management, including among others:
 a. Annual IMMEX report
 b. Annual Tax-Fiscal report
 c. INEGI report
 d. Sub-manufacturer report
 e. Self-Assessment
 f. GTM Mexico monthly report
 g. Waste affidavit report
u.  Oversee the correct applicability of Government programs and FTA’s.
v. Stay up-to-date with the Law and other customs regulations applicable to import and export trade operations.
w. Staff management including:
i. Career development
ii. Performance management (APEX etc.)
iii. Organizational development" 


Required (Basic) Qualifications:
  • Bachelor degree in Trade Compliance/Customs Law or related.

  • 5 years of experience in the mentioned field.

  • Fluent in English-Spanish

  • Proficient Microsoft Office (Excel audit formulas)

  • In-depth knowledge of Vastera

  • Auditing Skills
  • Balance Account Reconciliation

  • Knowledge of ERP transactions

  • Ability to Implement Customs Software

  • Develop efficient interfaces between ERP and Annex 24

  • Reconstruction of import/export operations

  • Strategic planning to ensure Customs Compliance

  • Negotiation skills
  • Strong communication skills with internal and external customers.

  • Knowledge of all FTA that currently exist in Mexico

Preferred Qualifications:
