Job Description

Eaton’s Vehicles division is currently seeking a Materials Planner to join our team. This position is based at our Reynosa facility.

The Materials Planner manage the arrival of direct material to the Reynosa plant, making sure raw material is shipped from suppliers to Eaton with the right process (following Supplier VIS, ISO’s or Discrete rules depending the case) & it is received on time to comply with weekly production plan.

  • Maintain and control within min/max levels the items under the assigned MRP.

  • Maintain ASN receiving aging in the right levels, make sure to solve any issues to avoid credit hold risk.

  • Communicate and escalate any major issue that may affect production plan.

  • Create weekly releases to suppliers, make sure to receive acknowledge for the weekly release.

  • Create action items for low performance suppliers and make sure those are closed timely.

  • Solve any OS&N issue timely.
  • Set meetings with low performance suppliers until recovery is completed

  • Create DMR’s for suppliers that may affect production with loss time, over time or premium freight.

  • Debit (recover) any charge attached to the DMR.

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
  • Business Bachelor Degree (Industrial Eng. Preferred).

  • + 3 experience years as Procurement buyer (Direct material).

  • Computer knowledge within the Company business operating systems preferred (Oracle)

  • Negotiation skills.

  • Bilingual  (English / Spanish).

  • High sense of urgency

  • Analytics skills.

  • Data analysis skills.

  • Strong Suppliers managing skills.

  • Inventory control & Projection knowledge.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • APICS Certification
