    We are looking forward to a Engineer - Engineer - Test Lab in Eaton India Innovation Center (EIIC) based in Pune, India.

    This exciting role will be responsible to perform testing and provide assistance to engineering personnel to setup, install and on-time completion of accurate product and /or system testing in accordance with specific test procedures as defined by emobility product engineering functions The position requires to:

  • Perform installation of new test stands for testing of emobility test stand
  • Develop test procedures for various test cases and setup to take care of product testing requirements.
  • Perform the testing for emobility products (Invertors, DC DC convertors PDU units etc.)
  • Standardization of test procedures in test lab and adhere to ISO standards
  • Implement EBE processes (DMAIC / Lean) successfully in Lab. Improve productivity by standardization and continuous improvement
  • Create SOP’s and processes / procedures for Individual test stands and implement in Lab
  • Provide technical leadership to the test lab technician team and perform quality checks to ensure testing meets Eaton / Customer / International standards
  • The essential function of this position will be understanding customer requirements and help set up flow for technicians on test engineering activities for product validation
  • Maintain effective communications both verbal & written with customer, team members and cross functional departments.
  • Maintain close liaison with other technicians to standardize lab practices within group and with other groups in facility to ensure a safe working environment
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment in the test lab that is a showpiece for customer visits. Continually work to improve the presentation of the lab for this purpose
  • Implement and monitor 8D (FRACAS) for the test lab.


                        If you are:

                        • Bachelors Degree in Electrical / Electronics / Mechatronics Engineering
                        • Minimum 3 years of experience in relevant hands on experience in Automotive R&D Testing / Analysis / in electrical domain is essential
                        • Awareness of testing i.e. test rigs, data acquisition, inspection etc – dynos, battery emulators, dc loads
                        • Awareness and experience in following Safety & Quality Management Practice
                        • Experience on fault identification and propose corrective actions
                        • Clear understanding about sensors, electronic components of DAQ & control software i.e. LabVIEW etc.
                        • Past experience in problem solving & continuous improvement through LEAN tool deployment for test equipment utilization and cost savings
                        • Proven experience in deploying TPM for R&D lab test equipment machinery and experience in ISO 9001:2008, deployment to meet quality objectives
                        • Awareness in Systems engineering, Requirements Management, Validation, Verification and Certification of Auto / Electrical domain
                        • Awareness and experience in following Safety & Quality Management Practice
                        • Preferred / Additional specialized knowledge
                        • Experience in hybrid / vehicle electrification
                        • Experience with ISO 26262 and/or ASPICE standards.
                        • Experience with Systems engineering tools - MATLAB/Simulink tools , IBM Jazz Tools
                        • Understanding of DFSS tools like FMEA, FMECA, Monte Carlo Analysis etc.
