Eaton Electrical Group is currently seeking a Maintenance/Facilities Supervisor to join our team. This position is based at our Milton, Ontario facility.

The Maintenance/Facilities Supervisor is responsible for managing labor/capacity to safely & efficiently develop and execute Maintenance Plans for all production equipment/facilities and lead key maintenance processes/initiatives to ensure that Production, Customer Service, and Continuous Improvement objectives are met, in accordance with safety, quality, and customer requirements. In this role, you will provide coaching and direction to your team, while driving accountability in the business, ultimately supporting the organization in achieving its business level and strategic goals. You must be a natural leader, motivator, hands-on problem solver, and effective mentor.

  • You will seek out and implement comprehensive maintenance plans to minimize downtime.

  • You will develop predictive maintenance plans and deploy on all equipment and facilities.

  • You will supervise shop floor employees to ensure maintenance work orders receive correct priorities, to maximize service levels.

  • You will assist & develop cost improvement teams and drive team participation in ‘Find It/Fix It’ and other CI programs.

  • You will be working with the Facilities Manager to develop, schedule and plan capacity (including attendance, vacation, and overtime management) to ensure safe, cost-effective, & efficient execution of master facilities Maintenance Plan.

  • You will adhere to ISO 14001 policies and procedures, and you will ensure compliance within your respective department(s).

  • You will have familiarity with the LVDA Emergency Response Plan.
  • You will achieve compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations made under the Act (i.e. Regulations for Industrial Establishments/851, and WHMIS/860, and Control of Exposure to Chemical and Biological Agents/833.

  • You will participate in workplace inspections conducted by the JHSC as defined in company procedure

  • You will implement Lean manufacturing at a departmental level through the use of lean tools and philosophies.

  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint).

  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.

  • Strong organizational, conflict resolution, & problem-solving skills.

  • Lean Tools experience/ Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification.
