As the Application Engineer you will be a technical client facing expert responsible for supporting the specification and sales of Eaton Central Power Supply systems and Emergency Lighting. You will position Eaton Lighting as the preferred choice at the design stage of projects, working with front line sales and other roles through the selling cycle to help ensure Eaton wins specification through to sales.


You will work within our world class Sales team and report directly to Eaton’s Lighting Solutions Manager.



Your key deliverables:


  • Work with the sales organization and Business Units to drive customer application & specification,

  • Provide the pre-sales and tendering support, including customer site meetings

  • Provision of formal & informal training (internal & external) and presentation of related CPD's

  • Continual learning to ensure you are at the forefront of technical knowledge of the Eaton offer and the related market




Do you have?


  • Technical knowledge of ideally Central Power Systems or alternatively Emergency Lighting

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical solutions in a variety of ways depending on the audience

  • Ideally some previous customer facing experience or strong ability to progress into a customer facing role
