Eaton’s EMEA BSC was established in 2015. Our Business Service Center site employs around 600 people.   Our mission is to provide high value and services to support internal and external customers across Eaton’s Electrical, Hydraulics, and corporate functions in EMEA.


Come and join our Hydraulics business division! As a Financial Accountant your main responsibility will be to become a business partner with the Plant Controller, providing accurate financial information on both Income Statements and Balance sheet accounts, analysis of sales, profitability, capital spending, metrics and other required specific analysis on request.

You will support forecast projections, identify on time any special situation and make recommendations based on analysis results. As an expert in trends analysis on all sales, cost, absorption and all P&L line items you will support management on accurate decision making and control. You will provide inputs for plant management for Flex requirements for the business based on volume changes on a monthly basis.

You will make difference by:

  • Month-end closing process – Financial review, variance analysis

  • Month-end forecast process - report preparation, operational / financial review and variance analysis

  • Tier 5 review - Financial review during the month, variance analyses

  • Supporting Profit Plan process - report preparation, operational / financial review and variance analysis.

  • Various financial and non-financial operational performance control measures and analysis

  • Supporting during the Physical Inventory process

  • Preparing balance sheet reconciliations with a focus for accuracy, aging and documentation support

  • Assisting with audit requests from internal and external auditors

  • Performing GTM (Global Trade Management) activities such as checks on proof of Export and creation of export documents

  • Preparing financial analysis to support the business decisions by plant management

  • Supporting with managing inventory movements (Work orders closing, booking hours, cycle counting)

  • Performing particular daily activities related to purchase invoices and sales invoices

  • Reviewing work interns on a regular basis 

  • Performing as back up for the Plant Controller in absence

  • Other ongoing activity or special projects as necessary


Your experience matters:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance and Accounting (Master’s Degree is preferable but not an asset)

  • 2 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing organization or in an audit firm

  • Audit techniques and general Accountant Principles

  • Technical knowledge of budgeting, cost accounting, pricing, general accounting, financial reporting and analysis, credit management, financial reporting and control, company taxation and business related legislation

  • User knowledge of Microsoft Office

  • Demonstrated leadership and accountability

  • Demonstrated ability for structured and analytical thinking, attention to detail, root cause analysis and risk management

  • Good communicator at all levels of the business

  • Responsible and ethical attitude
