The primary function for this exciting role is to be a high performing business partner supporting the Power Quality Division plant location in the Philippines. Deploy large-scale HR initiatives, programs and processes at the new start-up facility. Develop and deploy standard best practices. Coordinate Human Resource Programs and day-to-day personnel activities in accordance with legal, divisional, and corporate guidelines.
Your Essential Responsibilities:
Act as a business partner, strategic solution provider, advisor and counselor for the PQ Leadership team.
Keeps employees informed of all changes in HR policies. Counsels with employees on these policies.
Develops, recommends and implements HR policies and procedures. Assures that plant HR policies and practices comply with the applicable provisions of federal and state labor laws including the maintenance of necessary files.
Directs employment activities assuring that properly qualified employees are recruited and hired for company positions.
Plans, organizes, and oversees all HR activities for the plant. Leads in setting department goals and objectives
Works with all managers to develop education/training programs to meet the needs of their workforce.
Maintains good public and employee relations status
Implements, promotes and maintains a safe work environment by implementing a culture of accidents prevention, investigation, equipment maintenance and application of rules. Identify, control and administer risk and danger in own area.
Promotes the company’s mission and vision by actively supporting Eaton’s ethics and values as well as quality policies.
Motivate and coach employees to maintain high levels of satisfaction, productivity, and quality through effectively utilizing available rewards and recognition channels to encourage and promote desired behaviors and results.
If you are:
Bachelor’s Degree in business or organization psychology from an accredited institution.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience leading the HR function (staff level position) in a large plant (500+ employees).
8-10 years progressive Human Resources experience with at least 3 years managing people.
Knowledge of Philippines labour laws; strong HR network with current trends and market practices.
Manufacturing experience is a must; preferably with MNC.
Highly experienced HR professional with strong plant employee relations experience; with proven ability to counsel and advise in various employment related matters.
Strong HR “business partner” experience with solid business acumen and ability to effectively partner with plant leadership team.
Excellent interpersonal skills required, including use of discretion, tact, and judgment.
Proven ability to influence and work effectively across all levels in a highly matrixed environment.
Strong drive for results and sense of urgency.
Highly organized with strong attention to detail; able to manage multiple priorities in an a fast paced work environment.
Ability to successfully drive change and leadership ownership/accountability.
Excellent English written and oral communication skills.
Highest standards of ethics, and ability to lead by example.
High level of managerial courage and not afraid to “push back”.
HR generalist background, especially experience in workforce planning, strategic planning(plant-level), and workforce development strategies.
