Eaton’s Vehicle division is currently seeking a Metrologist to join our team. This position is based at our San Luis Potosi facility.
The Metrologist is responsible to Ensure that processes comply with customer specifications

Some activities related with the position will be:
Ensure that processes comply with customer specifications
Machining Cell Release
Performing Capability Studies
Calibration of measuring instruments according to standards
Compliance with the TS 16949 standard
Performing Calibration Instructions
Dimensional verification supplier parts
Management of measurement equipment
Analyze to release material (parts).
Control dimensioning of parts from different areas of the plant.
Analyzes R & R studies
Analyzes and control PPAP’s according with measurement.
Prepare equipment calibration and measurement control.
Maintain system current (calibration of measuring equipment).
Provide training personnel to use and care measuring equipment.
Provide service related to SPC for the different areas.
Control audits process and production processes.
Implements, promotes and maintains a safe work environment by implementing a culture of accidents prevention, investigation, equipment maintenance and application of rules. Identify, control and administer risk and danger in own area.
Promotes the company’s mission by actively supporting Eaton’s ethics and values as well as quality policies.
Motivate and coach employees to maintain high levels of satisfaction, productivity, and quality through effectively utilizing available rewards and recognition channels to encourage and promote desired behaviors and results.

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
- Technician Level or related fields required.
- Thorough knowledge of statistics & statistical process control, including gauge repeatability & reproducibility studies
- Knowledge of metrology, including CMM application & programming preferred
- Computer literacy, including spreadsheets, statistical programs, database maintenance & CAD
- Thorough knowledge of geometric dimensioning & tolerance (GD&T) principle
- Proficiency in problem solving & quality techniques including:
- 8-D problem solving
- Capability Analysis
2 years experience in similar area.
- Knowledge about ISO TS 16949
- Knowledge related quality system documentation.
- Knowledge in dimensioning equipment.
- Knowledge software
