Eaton’s Energy Automation Solutions division is currently seeking an Application Engineer to join our team supporting the Yukon Feeder Automation product line. This position is based at either our Franksville, WI or Plymouth, MN facility.
The Application Engineer works closely with the Product Manager with responsibilities for customer support, pre-sales activity, and customer deployment projects. This Application Engineer will support Eaton’s Yukon Feeder Automation product. The Application Engineer must be self-motivated and capable of making independent decisions concerning project priorities and must be capable working with our global teams to accomplish objectives. This position will be responsible for answering technical product and application questions for our customers, sales force, and other departments within the organization.

- You will develop and manage product life cycles and product line road map, serving primary product expert and liaison between marketing and engineering/manufacturing.
- You will develop, communicate, and manage the prioritization of AMI marketing requirements documents describing AMI product functionality requests from customers and prospects considering market trends.
- You will support the development of all product collaterals, pricing structures, samples, and working with Product Line Managers, Marketing Managers, and Marcomm for PR, advertising, tradeshow and customer testimonial development
- You will lead the development and maintenance of various technical marketing collateral including technical documentation, application notes, FAQs, product notes, user guides, field training presentation content and demos
- You will establish and maintain hands-on, in-depth knowledge of competitors including business model, solutions, and products.

Bachelor of Science or Engineering degree from an accredited institution
Minimum 2 years of experience in engineering
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship, now or in the future.
No relocation is being offered for this role. All candidates considered must live within 50 miles of the following Eaton locations: Franksville, WI or Plymouth, MN
Bachelor’s degrees in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Software, or Computer Engineering from an accredited institution
Minimum 3 years of application engineering experience
Experience with customer facing including, but not limited to, trade shows, training, demos, and technical support
Experience in developing customer relationships
Experience with project management
Experience in the electric utility industry
Experience in Radio Systems, Communication Systems, Network Setup
Excellent verbal and communication skills
Familiar with the North American electric utility industry
Capability of communicating complex ideas to technical and non-technical audiences
Strong problem-solving skills: Strong analytical abilities
