CNC Machinist- 2nd Shift
Eaton’s Aerospace division is seeking a CNC Machinist on 2nd Shift (3:30pm-12am) to join our team. This position is based at our Camarillo, CA facility.
The CNC machinist will operate machinery to produce high quality machined parts within established time standards. Performs size change setups within part families.

You will operate production equipment by loading material, activating machine, and removing and checking parts as directed to meet production requirements
You will perform all changeovers/setups, including loading program, choosing and setting tools, and running machine
You will measure dimensions on own work using measuring tools and gauges provided to ensure compliance with specified dimension
- You will perform setups on more complex parts
You will receive and follow training in new machine operations, product quality, safety and housekeeping provided by area leader to meet production requirements
You will work in a safe manner and perform housekeeping duties to maintain safety and assures proper maintenance of a safe and clean work area
You will notify area leader of any malfunction, out of tolerance or out of control condition, or any abnormal situation

Must have a High School Diploma/GED from an accredited institution
Minimum of 5 years of experience in setups and CNC machine operation
Must be authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship
No relocation provided. Candidates must reside within the 50 miles of the work location in order to be considered.
This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. ‘Green Card Holder’), Political Asylee, or Refugee
- Programming CNC lathes
- Ability to understand basic blueprints
Ability to carry work materials up to 25 pounds and lift work materials up to 60 inches above the floor
- Ability to load/unload materials
Ability to tighten and loosen clamping mechanisms
Ability to use measuring devices such as calipers, micrometers, drop indicator and optical comparator
Ability to calculate tolerance zones from unilateral and bilateral tolerances
Able to identify any potential hazards during task performance
Able to demonstrate OSHA lifting techniques and proper use of air guns
- Able to safely remove, transport, discard chips
Able to perform daily safety check list and communicate any safety issue to supervisor and team members
- Able to perform standard and emergency shutdown
