This exciting role is will be accountable for Engineering Change management (ECM) and prepare technical drawings in compliance to drawing standards as per industry standards and prevailing engineering practices for Electrical ICD Enclosed Control. Person must be proficient with Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD assembly, detailing for preparing CAD models, assemblies and complete detail layout designs and creation of manufacturing drawings. Should have design experience in Sheet metal, structural and fabrication. Should be expert in drawings, dimensioning standards, tolerance standards & tolerance stack-up and routine engineering calculations as required supporting design integrity.
Your essential responsibilities
· Utilize the PLM system (ENOVIA) for documentation control and workflow LEAN & DMAIC principles to continuously improve process.
· Ensure right quality and on time delivery for engineering change management activities (ECR/ECO/ECN) and Custom OEM Engineering, mini NPIs.
· Look for opportunities to improve productivity, learn and collaborate with other teams to adapt best practices.
· Work with senior members to accomplish ECR/ECO targets.
· Should be able to analyze the work package and prepare a schedule for delivery.
· Ensure clarity, accuracy and neatness of drawings & technical documents.
· Good communication skills in English (verbal and written) to communicate information effectively to customers, and technical staff.
If you are:
B.E. Mechanical Engineering with 5 to 7 year’s experience in product design and sustaining engineering with working experience for designing Electrical products.
The candidate will have the opportunity to work on technical drawings of industrial control components for the monitoring / protection of industrial motors, and their associated driven loads in varied applications.
Products includes contactors, relays, overloads, variable speed drives, reduced voltage soft-starters and NEMA / IEC/ UL starters.
Prepare technical drawings in compliance to drawing standards as per industry standards and prevailing engineering practices.
Must be very proficient with, Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD assembly, detailing for preparing CAD models and complete detail layout designs and creation of manufacturing drawings. 3D CAD package familiarity (Autodesk Inventor) .
Sheet metal design experience and fabrication drawing familiarity. 2D CAD package familiarity (AutoCAD / AutoCAD Electrical). Experience in work package releases including Bill of material creation, revisions and set up in Enovia and its release process.
Comfortable with control circuits and electrical schematics. Should be expert in drawings, dimensioning standards, tolerance standards & tolerance stack-up and routine engineering calculations as required supporting design integrity. Good understanding of ECAD and MCAD collaboration.
Shall have experience in Design for Six Sigma.
