This exciting role is part of an Electrical Sector with a primary responsibility of the overall mechanical design of the product. This will include design of the necessary components and the structural and thermal analysis of the product. This position will work closely with the Recessed Program Manager, Marketing Manager, Optical Design Group, Electrical Engineering, Sourcing and Manufacturing personnel to develop the products in an organized and expedient fashion. The design engineer will be responsible for meeting the overall project schedule and budget.
Your essential responsibilities:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / Electronics/ E&TC/ Instrumentation engineering with 5+ years of experience in embedded software development
Strong experience in embedded C, C++ in IDEs like MPLAB, Eclipse and Code Composer Studio
Demonstrated knowledge of Embedded Firmware development with 16 Bit / 32 Bit microcontrollers from OEMs such as TI, NXP, Intel, ST, Atmel etc.
Strong hands on experience with GPIO, PWM, UART, SPI, I2C is a must, experience of parallel interfaces (Flash, RAM) is desirable
Hands on experience on ADCs, DACs, timers, PWMs, schedulers expected
Experience with python good to have; experience with Altassian tools like JIRA is preferable
Should share knowledge within the team and collaborate with the global teams; should be flexible in working on multiple assignments/technologies in parallel.
Should have strong debugging/problem solving skills, should have good learning agility
Should share creative thinking mindset, should be inclined towards working on upcoming/latest technology trends on a motivated basis where technical support may not be always fully available. Prior Intellectual Property filings/disclosures is a plus.
Should develop an understanding of both technology and product concepts; should be able to articulate product and software design. Should ensure quality of delivery in accordance with the plan adhering to the standard practices used in agile/waterfall model.
Good interpersonal and communication skills, particularly with respect to written and oral communication, including the ability to explain technical concepts.
Train, develop and motivate colleagues on technical aspects demonstrating ‘Right to Left’ thinking (starting with consideration for end user).
