As Application & Estimation Engineer ANSI / NEMA / IEC Switchgear, you will be responsible for preparing technical and commercial proposal to win ANSI/NEMA/IEC  LV, MV systems and switchgear & Service business and Power Generation systems. You will also be responsible for drafting GA, SLD, Door layouts, schematics and designing Orders and projects related to LV, MV switchgears & Power Generation solutions including COE design activities for product evolution of existing products.






Your key deliverables:

  • Prepare GA, SLD, LV Door layout, Schematics in Eplan, participate in continuous improvement & standardization initiative, build engineering library for LV & MV switchgear
  • Organise specialist support in the event of electrical or mechanical defects/errors/claims to support customers and/or subordinates on possible solutions related to complete (proprietary or brand strange) systems in consultation with sales and project management to ensure that problems are resolved without causing damage to the image or the financial situation of the company;
  • Approve all technical changes of products in accordance applicable rules and regulations, divisional and corporate guidelines and procedures ensuring that objectives with regard to product costs are met and that products comply with IEC standard and quality and safety;
  • Stay up-to-date with latest state-of-the-art, new developments in the market and competitive products and activities, participate in IEC development of technical standards, User Platforms;
  • Ensure timely and correct reporting to manager in accordance with applicable procedures to ensure recording and traceability of data; 
  • QMS responsible in the area of engineering processes and procedures 
  • Support sales to perform market price analysis for ANSI / NEMA / Service / LV & MV switchgear
  • Contribute to product road mapping and AVL processes, in close co-operation with Sales
  • Contribute to the improvement of tendering processes with the DTP team.
  • Ensure close association with SCM in cost out exercise for TP / bought out items 
  • Take full ownership of tendering activity, highlight techno-commercial risk



Are you?


  • Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent
  • Experience of  8-12 years in similar position
  • Knowledge of and practical experience working with E-Plan, ETAP, Pro-panel, Auto cad
  • Past experience working in a similar Product Range (ANSI / NEMA / LV Switchgear, MV Switchgear, LVC, Auxiliaries) required
  • Knowledge of Engineering, calculation and manufacturing methods required
  • Knowledge of Project Management Processes 
  • Knowledge of Procedures, company rules, guidelines (national and international), law, rules & regulations, standards, safety, quality and environmental guidelines as far as applicable
  • Ability to collaborate in a multinational team, with a high Intercultural awareness
  • Detailed knowledge of product and solution application and customers
