EHS Lead Analyst

Job Description

The primary function:


Eaton is seeking an IT professional to lead environmental, health and safety data management support and reporting for operations worldwide.  We are looking for a lead analyst n analytics manager to join our growing team of data analytics experts and manage the processes and people responsible for accurate data analysis, data management, reporting & IT support (technical support) for operations worldwide. This role will ensure data accuracy and consistent reporting by designing and creating optimal processes and procedures for analytics employees to follow. Analytics manager will apply exhaustive functional  and data analysis knowledge for solving real-world problems and finding opportunities for improvement across multiple projects, teams and business units. 


Essential Functions:

• Develop and implement EHS programs, policies and procedures for global implementation


• Lead Management of Change and Risk Assessment activities


• Manage and coordinate a broad spectrum of EHS initiatives including employee engagement activities


• Develop a range of communication medium to ensure that workforce is kept up to date with health and safety matters


• To be an active member of the Corporate EHS function and establish a reporting framework between the various high-performance team and provide regular update on progress to senior management


• Ensure EHS issues are handled end-to-end in terms of integration with other SAP modules Maintaining EHS configurations


• Develop functional specifications for enhancements and other programming changes


• Work with the development team on enhancement efforts Support and perform testing on global SAP changes that affect EHS processes


• Liaise with cross-functional project teams across geographies


• Maintain Document Repository for business and IT processes Maintain operational procedures around supported environments


• Plan and conduct knowledge transfer with project teams including end-customers


• Knowledge of the data migration tools, import utilities import format, and data migration process specific to EHS Incident and Performance management


• Analyze functional and technical needs, identify gaps and propose solutions related to existing design


• Anticipate future demands of initiatives related to people and technology within function and design/implement solutions to meet these needs


• Develop, construct, test and maintain database and data processing system


• Interface with IT to implement underlying infrastructure, developing data validation strategies, report design and end-user training


• Maintain and improve existing reporting infrastructure using various tools, methodologies and oversee the business performance analysis including patterns, variances between expected and actual results


• Synthesize data and present results with appropriate business insight/context to senior management and stakeholders. Provide strategic recommendations





• Masters with 5-7 Years of experience or bachelor’s with 10-12 Years of experience.

 Basic Knowledge (Foundation):

• Proven customer support experience

• Excellent Communication and presentation skills

• Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively

• Preferred SAP / MESH PRISM system experience

• Proven experience in technical IT support role for software applications

• Hands on experience in User Acceptance Testing (UAT)


Medium Knowledge (Intermediate):

• Must be proficient in Microsoft Applications (Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.)

• Must have programming skills with querying languages: SLQ, Visual Basics for Applications

• Must have hand on experience in visual analytics using Power BI

• Strong project and process planning skills

• Ability to actively listen, build/maintain effective working relationships with internal/external colleagues/resources, and resolve conflict.

• Self-starter with ability to complete work independently as well as successfully lead others


Advance Knowledge (Expert):

• Excellent quantitative skills and ability to interpret data from multiple sources

• Good understanding of BI / Analytics project life cycle

• Knowledge of data technologies including large relational databases, data management, business intelligence toolset (i.e. SAP BW, SAP Business Explorer, OBIEE (EPM) etc.)

• Must have experience using SharePoint 2013 and SharePoint Online (Office 365) performing site collection administration duties, such as:

* SharePoint site design (Team Site/Project Site/ERG) and content management

* Managing and configuring site collection and features

* Creating and managing user permissions, sites, lists, and libraries

* Creating and troubleshooting site and list level workflows using SharePoint Designer Creating and manipulating SharePoint Web Part pages and Web Parts

* Using InfoPath to create custom forms
