Technical Proposal and Inside Sales Engineer -- Houston, TX
Eaton’s Hazardous Area Communications division is currently seeking a Technical Proposal and Inside Sales Engineer to join our team. This position is based at our Houston, TX facility.
The Technical Proposal and Inside Sales Engineer is responsible for the day-to-day technical evaluation of quotation, main customer service functions, sales orders & tenders, and supporting the HAC portfolio of products at all levels of the market. In this role, you will work closely with factories manufacturing and technical personnel, direct interaction with customers, handling queries, and attending to customer specification needs.

You will efficiently create quotations and tenders for the HAC portfolio of products ensuring technical compatibility, commercial viability, and regulatory conformance
You will technically evaluate incoming customer sales orders ensuring the product matches its intended purpose and use, and conforms to regulatory certification directives
You will manage large orders and key contracts ensuring all aspects of the project are controlled to maximize customer satisfaction
You will develop a working technical knowledge of HAC product portfolio and certification
You will be a liaison and co-ordination with HAC internal departments and other Eaton business unit entities to ensure accurate technical information is delivered to the customer

Associates or related technical degree
Experience in telecommunications
Experience in managing sales agents
Effective written and oral communication skills; effective presentation and public speaking skills
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without out company sponsorship, now or in the future.
No relocation is being offered for this role. All candidates considered must live within 50 miles of the following Eaton location: Houston, TX.
Experience in the telecommunication segment within the oil and gas industries especially in Fire & Gas, CCTV, and PAGA Solutions
