Job Description

Eaton’s Hydraulics division is currently seeking a CNC Technician to join our team. This position is based at our Queretaro facility.

The CNC Technician  is Responsible of setting up and improve CNC manufacturing equipment to release parts to production according customer requirements. Collaborate on Production’s metrics & goal achievement, meeting all times with the applicable Safety, Quality, Health & Environmental and Human Resources policies and procedures.

Some activities related with the position will be:

  1. Provide first line technical support to all production operations including tooling set ups according to production needs.

  2. Support and knowledge in CNC programming and prove outs for all production equipment.

  3. Interact with Engineering and Production staff to solve production-related problems.

  4. Work with Engineering and Production staff to ensure a smooth transition of new product

  5. Make recommendations to improve processes and yields, reduce costs and improve quality.

  6. Recommend new tooling as required for Production equipment.

  7. Identify and make recommendations to eliminate non-value added activities.

  8. Support from a technical perspective and/or participate on Continuous Improvement Activities such as: Kaizen, Ideas Programs, cost out and/or demonstrate improvements in goals year over year in our processes or practices aligned to achieve or business goals and/objectives.

  9. Participation in problem solving activities such as: 8D’s, 5 why’s, Ishikawas .

  10. Creation and updating of work instructions, changeovers procedures; adjustments and VDM documentation.

  11. Realizar las actividades de 5´S

    Required (Basic) Qualifications:

    • Mechanical Technical degree
    • 3 years of experience as CNC technician or programmer.
    • Proven knowledge of measuring and inspection instruments (roughness / profile tester, optical comparator, caliper, micrometer and high caliper).
    • CMM report interpretation
    • Basic GD&T experience
    Knowledge in problem
