Eaton is seeking a Scheduler/Planner to join our team! The Scheduler/Planner position will be located in Milton, Ontario.
The Scheduler/Planner will be responsible for analyzing, establishing, and executing the planning, ordering, scheduling of material to meet the master production schedule. You will be tasked with ensuring an acceptable level of material is available to support the manufacturing and sales of products for LVDA and, Satellite facilities.

You will monitor ETO Order scheduling and communicate capacity concerns.
You will co-ordinate Marketing Forecast into ongoing production plan.
You will provide actual shipment details within Production Plan to compare forecast
You will maintain and adjust Planning Bills to meet customer demand.
You will analyze data, including materials requirements planning information to determine stocking policies.
You will set up and maintain accurate Item master attributes for MLT organization.
You will manage inventory levels in relation to customer requirements and inventory targets and goals.
You will disposition depreciated and slow moving inventory.
You will work with Quality on Non-Conforming components for timely disposition.
You will communicate with FSC (Financial Service Center) to clear on hold invoices in Markview’s AP4220 (Canada) Web box and personal web inbox within a timely manner to avoid supply interruptions or penalties.
You will co-ordinate with Engineering the timely ordering of Advance Material Order requirements for long lead time items and project-based orders.
You will manage MRP and MPS exception messages.
You will review, update and reschedule customer orders, discrete jobs, purchase orders and internal orders to maintain current and up-to-date master production schedule.
You will create discrete job packets for the shop floor; co-ordinate the release of orders and material to the production floor.
You will communicate with Order Management to maintain a current master schedule to support customer orders and planning bills.
You will create and reschedule orders for material to support stocking policies.
You will analyze, prioritize and communicate shortages to production manages and escalate expediting to ensure schedulers are met.
You will utilize kanban and Bulk processes to ensure material availability and reduce cycle times.
You will work with the production staff to ensure kanban and production kanban pull sequences as well as bulk items are maintained according to production requirements.
You will work with purchasing to communicate with suppliers on Material quality, on-time deliveries & overall performance. (Supplier Evaluation)
You will support cost reduction projects and other improvement initiative to achieve overall business objectives.
You will ensure timely planning and execution of discrete jobs and purchase orders to meet customer demand.
University Degree / College Diploma specializing in Business or Materials Management, CPIM or APICS Certificate.
Minimum two (2) years of experience in materials or logistics in a computerized material requirement planning (MRP) environment.
No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within a 80 km radius of the Milton, ON facility will be considered.
Must be legally authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship now or in the future.
Knowledge of Oracle, WISPER, MRP II and Matrix are asset
CPIM or APICS Certificate (or in the process of obtaining)
Sound knowledge of products and systems purchasing and accounting policies.
Advanced knowledge of purchasing techniques and supplier management; advanced computer skills in MS Office and database management.
Strong problem-solving expertise with excellent time management capabilities.
Excellent communication, planning and organizational skills.
Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills.
