For Eaton's Hydraulics, Power Motion Control product division, we are looking for a:
Operations Director / Plant Manager
Location: Warwick, Warwickshire, England, UK
Full accountability for people, processes and P&L of manufacturing plant. The role oversees all daily operations of the plant from production and manufacturing to ensuring policies and procedures are followed. Develop processes that will maximize stewardship, safety, quality and productivity. Consciously creates a workplace culture that is consistent with the overall organization's and that emphasizes the identified mission, vision, guiding principles, and values of the organization. Responsible for coaching, mentoring and developing staff. Developing furture direction and a manufacturing strategy in line with the global Hydraulics and Eaton strategy. Product line revenue responsibility in the range of 40-50M USD, headcount range 200-250 employees.
Directs all manufacturing operations and support services at the site with emphasis on safety, environment, quality, delivery and cost.
Champions Eaton Business System deployment to continuously drive process improvements and achieve world class levels performance and customer satisfaction.
Create and communicates a vision for all employees that inspires others to action and is tied to the business’s overall strategy, promotes and sustains a performance culture and ensures that employees continuously raise the bar on their own performance.
Coordinates and directs through managers, all functions of facility operations, including but not limited to safety, manufacturing, asset utilization, inventory control, facilities control/environmental, manufacturing cost out initiatives, manpower utilization, work standards and administration. Supports growth initiatives including new product introduction and localisation projects.
Attracts, selects, develops, trains, coaches, appraises and motivates employees for key line and staff positions at the facility.
Develops controls and critically review results of operation in reference to planned objectives and correct promptly for satisfactory results.
Represents the company in the local community to enhance its image and reputation.
Makes safety a priority in daily operations by actively participating in health and safety activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, ensuring adequate resources are provided, and providing suggestions for improvement to the health and safety program.
BSc/MSc in engineering/manufacturing engineering
MBA or equivalent highly desirable
5 years of related experience
Demonstrated experience with Lean tools and driving culture of CI
Lean tools and CI experience
Must demonstrate financial acumen, strategic ability, strong business acumen, and strong change leadership capabilities
Strong interpersonal and leadership skill set
Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organisation
Able to thrive in a matrix environment
Able to build customer relationships
