Eaton’s Power System division is currently seeking a Sourcing Engineer to join our team. This position is based at our Querétaro facility.

In this role you will:
Identify savings opportunities inside plant operations (between 50 usd and 300k usd).
Execute cost reduction activities (between 70k to 150k usd) by looking for supplier consolidation / localization / resourcing and alternative vendors who can offer operational benefits/savings, with no compromise on quality and services.
Work with users on alternative materials, supplies and services for overall cost and productivity improvement.
Review of inventory levels with planning function through timely release of purchase order, close monitoring of delivery, expediting and effective supplier communication during project handover period.
Manage & update project status (weekly presentations, follow up with engineering, quality, etc.) ECN / ECR and supplier profile.
Perform good communication and relationship with cross function and suppliers.
Eaton MESH accountability: Your commitment towards environmental protection is to minimize and eventually, eliminate the use of hazardous substances, promote constant recycling efforts and recovery of resource materials used wherever possible.
Perform and lead sourcing, negotiation, specification and contract review, supplier audit, review of project status and supplier feedback for assigned sourcing project, and smooth/flawless ramp up/down for production.
Analyze material and market conditions, provide input and alternatives on cost reduction and manage cost inflation.

Bachelor degree in engineering or international business
Above 2 years’ experience in sourcing/purchasing activities
Be familiar with ISO9001 /14000 or IATF Quality System.
Medium project management skill.
Strong and quick problem-solving skill on operation execution.
Strong coordination and communication skill with inter and external customer and supplier.
Negotiation skills with the suppliers.
Good command of verbal and written English.
