Senior Manager for Program Management- Industrial Sector
Eaton has an opening for a Senior Manager for Program Management within its Industrial Sector. The primary function of this role is to lead the creation and deployment of Program Management standard work, provide Program Management expertise and hands on support across the Industrial Sector, and serve as the global owner of Program Management tools. Essential functions of this role include but are not limited to:
Lead monthly reporting of PM Focus-5 Metrics including root cause and corrective actions. Drive usage and ability to brief the PS (Performance Status) and Standard Deck (Program Reviews) while coaching PM’s on delivery and transparency. Develop and deploy an Executive Level Program Management education package.
Support the Aerospace, Hydraulics and Vehicle Group NPI teams by mentoring project teams, leading project planning workshops and educating PM’s on sequencing their deliverables.
Serve as the Eaton Leader (Industrial/Electrical/Corporate Sectors) for the ProPM tool, managing the quality and complete deployment within the Industrial Sector. This includes standard reporting, monthly ProPM enhancement prioritizations and identifying and securing funding for tool upgrades and improvements.
Ensure Eaton’s Global Stage Gate suite of tools and processes is continuous improved and is aligned to new and emerging PM trends such as Agile, Scrum and Software. This suite includes NPI (New Product Introduction), STP (Standard Transition Process), AIF (Acquisition Integration Framework) and BPS (Business Processes and Services)
Work with the Electrical Sector Program Managers and Engineering Leaders to ensure alignment and consistency of PROLaunch and ProPM understanding and deployment.
Ensure the OpA and PROLaunch Self-Assessment criteria is up-to-date, employees are trained and understand the purpose and that the output of the assessments is acted upon. Personally, conduct OpA Program Management Training and serve as an OpA Assessor.
Participate on the Industrial Sector Quarterly Talent Review Discussions to help place PM talent across the Sector
Serve as an active member of the Global Program Management Leadership Team. This includes the development and execution of department/function strategic plans, the definition and implementation of departmental processes, and the execution of the Program Management Strategy. Serves as functional expert for PROLaunch, OpA and other EBS Tools.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business from an accredited institution
10 years experience developing products from concept to product launch
10 years experience in project management
5 years experience project management office (PMO) experience
5 years business process management experience
5 years experience training development and delivery experience
Master’s degree in Engineering or Business from an accredited institution
PMP (Project Management Professional)
Significant experience in business process modeling
Experience utilizing Microsoft Project
High level of presentation skills
