The primary purpose of this position is to establish a support organization for the Electrical Sector to

drive compliance to intercompany policy O-2. The Pune based GFSS staff will work as an extension of the sector’s Intercompany organization and provide analysis and assistance across all regions.

 

Your essential responsibilities:

 

A. Assist in financial closing by reviewing intercompany balance reports issued by Eaton
Finance and identifying where out of balance positions need to be addressed. Reach out to Electrical sector operational staff as appropriate to drive actions during close.
B. Reconcile the Intercompany balances and post month end adjustments as required.
C. Assist controllers to identify the actual trading partners for Intercompany and drive resolution of month-end issues before the following month close.
D. Perform more detailed review of intercompany reconciliations following the financial close. Identify out of balance, old items, problem areas. Included could be obtaining missing AP invoices and providing to PTP staff for entry.
E. Propose resolutions to aged unsettled invoices and follow up to drive resolution.
F. Identify AP match holds that are delaying payments and communicate with appropriate personnel to drive resolution to the match issue.
G. Review 21800 account balances for aging, large values and repeated use that appears to be
old unbalanced or unresolved disputes. Communicate to appropriate personnel to drive attention to resolution. Follow up with resolution.
H. Generate tracking metrics for intercompany compliance reviews. Provide analysis and trend
information to management.


Qualifications

Degree with Accounting major with MBA (Finance)/CA (Inter)/CWA(Inter)/CS(Inter) preferable
• 3-5 years of accounting or corporate finance experience
• Experience working in multinational company environment (captive or BPO experience)
• System oriented person with an ability to quickly learn procedures and working instructions.
• Attention to detail and ability to review large quantities of information
• Strong analytical skills and ability to work under financial close deadlines
• Knowledge of Oracle Financials
• Strong drive for result
• Strong MS Excel skills; MS Access skills a plus
• Strong English verbal and written communication skills.
