VIC & TAS Regional Sales & Business Development Manager


We are looking for VIC & TAS Regional Sales & Business Development Manager in Eaton’s Corporate Division, based in Mascot or Sydney, Australia.

This role is accountable for the selling, pricing, product, place (distribution) & promotion of the product portfolio to ensure that the target dollar sales & margin is achieved within budgeted expense and inventory constraints. The role also includes taking the Marketing and Business Development lead within the Australia, New Zealand and Southern Pacific Islands team for Overhead Switchgear and Moulded Rubber portions of the Power Systems Series product lines.


Your essential responsibilities:


  • Conduct regular customer sales visits
  • Identify opportunities for Eaton to support customer’s business
  • Conduct analysis of products and markets and develop a business plan to exploit the opportunities presented by new Switchgear products
  • Coordinate trade show participation
  • Write technical articles
  • Identify and leverage sales opportunities for non-Power Systems divisions including packing of multi divisional offerings
  • Provide first level technical support on our switchgear products
  • Revise List Pricing in response to market price changes
  • Quote against tender specifications
  • Provide feedback on competitor activity
  • Find ways for Eaton to help customers to achieve their business goals
  • Deal with major customers & specialist distributors
  • Investigate opportunities for Power Systems to sell into markets such as rail and infrastructure where Eaton have traditionally been strong
  • Visit from overseas experts
  • Influence R&D direction towards ANZ’s requirements
  • Provide marketing input via monthly report


Qualifications


If you have:


  • Third level qualifications in a commercial and/or a technical discipline are desirable
  • At least 5 years’ experience in industrial product management or sales
  • Strong high voltage electrical engineering skills are required
  • Detailed product knowledge of medium voltage overhead switchgear and molded rubber products (separable connectors) would be particularly well regarded
  • Ability to relate to people at all levels within customer and the Eaton organization is important
