This exciting role is part of a fast paced, and sales orientated team in a large multi-national company.

The role which offers a broad variety of responsibilities including international liaising and great learning opportunities.
  1. Ensure the quality of shipping System products:
    1. Pareto analysis of product returns, leading to quality improvement projects
    2. Pareto analysis of customer calls, leading to quality improvement projects
    3. Report on the customer experience at the monthly cost of quality [CONC] meeting
    4. Monitor supplier capability controls
  2. Ensure the quality of new product developments:
    1. Collect defect-free launch metrics
    2. Forecast and track prototype control plans
    3. Design verification activities
      1. Maintain the design review tracker
      2. Drive DFMEA & PFMEA
      3. Assist in development of DVP&R test plans
      4. Ensure Chief Engineer sign-off
    4. Design validation activities
      1. Facilitate hardware validation and REL testing
      2. Facilitate unit and system firmware testing
      3. Facilitate integration testing
    5. Drive measurement systems analysis plans for production equipment
    6. Oversee the supplier product design risk assessment and mitigation
      1. Including DFMEA, PFMEA, measurement system analysis plan, and PPAP
    7. Approve factories to start production
      1. Including production part approval and PPAP acceptance in compliance with EBS
    8. Identify new product reliability assessments to drive for fast corrective actions
      1. Including extended REL testing, field start-up monitoring and initial warranty tracking
  3. Prioritize the use of Eaton resources to remain focused on the most impactful activities
  4. Champion the use of partners, new tools and best practices to improve the user experience and drive efficiency gains
  5. Manage the product hold notification process for Systems
    1. Includes approving hold codes in SAP and  both internal and external communications



If you:

  • Have 5-10 years broad, hardware, firmware and system engineering experience
  • Have 3-5 years in senior quality role with knowledge of Quality systems and system best practices
  • Have 1-3 years manufacturing engineering experience & proven track record of successfully delivered solutions
  • Have full understanding of PPAP & statistical data analysis leading to data based decision making
  • Have background in hands-on, system development; including requirements, design, coding, debugging and test.
  • Have excellent leadership, teambuilding, organizational transformation and collaboration skills
  • Have superior ability to align solutions with business objectives using sound judgment
  • Have experience with supplier quality management
  • Have ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language
  • Have BS in engineering or related, Masters preferred. Equivalent combination of education and experience considered.
