We are looking for PQ IT Channel BDM in Eaton’s Corporate Division, based in Brisbane, Australia.

The role is responsible for applying sales and technical knowledge to increase Single Phase (1P) UPS, Racks, PDU and accessory sales via Eaton Power Quality IT Channel Partners. The role will ensure those products are marketed and promoted to customers via the IT channel and that sales budgets for all allocated territories are met.

Your essential responsibilities:

  • Achieve profit plan orders, sales, and price and growth objectives for PQ IT Channel business

  • Maintain regional / state sales business in accordance with the designated sales targets

  • Find and develop new business opportunities with existing and potential channel partners in the region

  • Maintain close relationships with key accounts, discussing customer technical requirements and creating solutions

  • Prepare or oversee preparation of tenders for products to meet the customer’s needs and promote opportunities for sales of the company’s products.

  • Prepare or oversee preparation of contract documents for recommendation to senior management and then subsequent negotiation with clients

  • Monitor sales proposals and liaise with clients to modify proposals accordingly. Maintain contact with customer through to post-installation phases

  • Follow up with key clients any complaints about relevant company products and aim for satisfactory solutions from both the company’s and customer’s viewpoints

  • Monitor competitor activities and market trends through personal contact with clients and suppliers, and attendance at industry association meetings, seminars and trade functions, etc.

  • Plan and report on customer calls, product requirements and provide regular progress reports and sales outlooks as directed by sales manager

  • Participate in sales meetings to give and receive market intelligence

  • Ensure all activities comply with Eaton legal and ethical requirements

  • Any other job related duties that may be requested from time to time


If you have:

  • Tertiary Qualification preferred, with at least 5 years of related IT Channel experience

  • Strong understanding of Queensland IT Channel landscape

  • Track record of success engaging with direct and indirect customers (End Users, Contractors, Consultants, IT Resellers, IT Distributors), across many diverse product lines, and customer segments

  • Familiar with Sales Principles (Value Pricing, Business Intelligence, Value Selling, etc.)

  • Previous Sales experience required

  • Proficient in MS Office PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook

  • Prior experience in Australian IT and/or Electrical Industry
