Eaton’s Mississauga facility has an immediate opening for a Finance Co-op position.
This role will satisfy any program co-op requirement for a total of up to 16 months. Reporting to the Financial Accounting Manager, the primary role of the Finance Co-op is support the Finance team in the implementation and administration of Finance programs and initiatives to support business objectives. The role will be primarily focused around two main functions i.e. Financial Accounting and Treasury (Payroll, AP and Intercompany).
Perform reconciliations of assigned general ledger accounts.
Ensure completeness of accounting records.
Upload journal entries to SAP.
Prepare periodic reports to assist in ensuring compliance of Finance department with assigned deadlines.
Ensure that all fixed assets are properly tagged and apply new tags, if required.
Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the management.
Responsible for filing and storing of month-end closing steps.
Prepare monthly payroll journal entry.
Weekly pension reconciliation.
Learn how to process our accounts payable in order to provide back up during Accounts Payable Administrator’s vacation time.
Assist in preparing and sending intercompany billings.
Assist in resolving intercompany out of balances
Assist with netting.
Arrange for destruction of files in mezzanine marked obsolete as of 2019.
Box 2018 files for Payroll Administrator.
Arrange for the movement of 2018 bankers’ boxes from Finance area into the mezzanine.
Update master spreadsheet of stored files, reviewing the Eaton Record Retention policy to categorize newly stored files.
Must be enrolled full-time in a university or college program pursuing a degree or diploma in Finance or related discipline.
Must be legally authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship.
No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates residing within 80 kilometres of Mississauga, ON, Canada facility will be considered.
