Product Marketing Manager – Halo Recessed Downlighting
Eaton’s Lighting Division is currently seeking a Product Marketing Manager, Halo Recessed Downlighting to join our team. This position is based at our Peachtree City, GA facility.
The Product Marketing Manager is responsible for driving the Halo Recessed Downlighting business for profitable growth. In this role, you lead cross functional teams to develop new products in line with product technology roadmaps to achieve cost targets, revenue and profitability expectations. You will be responsible to drive demand creation in conjunction with the commercial teams globally, and manage new product introductions into the market place. Additionally, the Product Manager will assess competitive position of the product offerings and direct investment to achieve best in class cost and feature position for product lines under management.
You will manage assigned product line portfolio, including evaluation of product line extension or modification requests from sales team, or external customers.
You will be responsible for meeting profitability, revenue, customer service targets.
You will be responsible for introducing, on schedule and on budget, competitive products that meet or exceed market expectations and making promotion, and channel recommendations.
You will evaluate product line cost reduction, modification, and process improvement recommendations from the manufacturing team for market acceptability.
You will sustain core product lines to adapt to market changes or to penetrate new markets and address competitive offerings. This includes recommending programs and promotional activities to strengthen market position for sustained product lines.
You will work closely with Senior Managers to balance competing business needs.
You will maintain product plan and technology roadmap on key products. Coordinate product planning inputs for strategic and business planning.
You will coordinate the training of new and existing customers, distributors, etc., relating to products. Conducts major product presentation in conjunction with promotions, new product introductions, as well as existing product line training. Also conducts major account presentations relative to products.
You will contribute to design and format planning for all product line marketing collateral, (i.e., Brochures, Specification Sheets, Agent Sales Guides, and Distributor Price Schedules).
You will be responsible for coordinating price and margin objectives with the product-pricing group, based on competitive analysis, market price sensitivity analysis, etc.

- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution required
- A minimum 5 years’ experience in product or project management experience
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without out company sponsorship, now or in the future.
- Must be able to travel up to 10% of the time
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in the lighting, controls, building automation or IT industry
- Experience in new product development or technical program management
- Facilitation and training experience
- New product commercialization experience
- Participation in Strategic Product Planning and Product Road Mapping
- Well-developed communication, organizational, motivational, and interpersonal skills
- Strong financial acumen
- Ability to modify role and responsibilities as market dynamics dictate
