Customer Service Advisor (Export Lead)

Job Description

To work alongside the Customer Service Manager & Supervisor to establish good working relationships within the organization, to lead and co-ordinate a small team to improve processes, deliver on sales and deliver on time delivery, and to ensure a first class “customer experience”.  The role is highly process driven and challenging, requiring the candidate to be dedicated, motivated and enthusiastic.
Essential Requirements:
• Previous experience in similar role e.g. Team Leader, Coordinator
• Experience in exporting from the UK to non-European markets
• Experience and knowledge of SAP
• Experience and knowledge of Letter of Credit
• Excellent coordinating skills
• Advanced communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to interact successfully with other disciplines to seek out solutions to problems
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Numerate/analytical
• Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
• Flexible in line with business demands
• Strong ethics, values and the ability to influence others’ decision making

Duties and responsibilities including but not limited to:
• Process orders, relevant forms, applications and requests
• Order book management and production verification
• Maintain records of customer interactions and transactions, recording details of enquiries, comments of complaints and action taken
• Direct requests and unresolved issues to the designated resource
• Involvement with ad-hoc projects
• Coordinate the Export team to ensure all deadlines are met
• Daily/weekly conference calls with customers and colleagues
• Preparing shipping and customs documentation (Letter of Credit / ATR1 / EUR1 / Certificate of Origin etc.) in compliance with legal obligations; ensuring that paperwork for shipments is complete and correct prior to dispatch, filing paperwork and maintaining records in readiness for Government audits


• Degree or equivalent relevant to the post
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications: Outlook, Excel, Word
