Business Development Manager - RTLS
Eaton's Lighting Division is currently seeking a Business Development Manager to join our team. This position would be based in the Southeastern U.S.
As the Business Development Manager, this individual will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive sales strategy to generate profitable sales for Eaton’s real time location systems(RTLS) and location-based services(LBS) platforms. In addition, this candidate will develop channel partner and customer relationships and will develop/maintain key strategic partnerships with RTLS/LBS solution providers and system integrators.
Leverages industry expertise and generates RTLS/LBS business by identifying, targeting and pursuing potential large end-users of Eaton’s products.
Develop and execute programs to generate sales leads within existing and new customer/partner base.
Works closely with partners on new products and service offerings. Assists with refining processes to streamline partner management and lighting agent engagement.
Works closely with RTLS/LBS customers to develop a viable business relationship and ensure that Eaton provides value and services which will meet the customer's changing needs.
Understands market conditions and competitive RTLS/LBS and provides feedback to marketing to ensure timely product improvements in an effort to continually meet the customer's needs.
Develops and recommends an annual and multi-year sales plan and forecast for RTLS and LBS in coordination with the lighting division’s broader strategic initiatives.
Develops and maintains liaison with the appropriate management personnel of RTLS solution providers and system integrators.
Develops a plan to expand the RTLS/LBS business development team to ensure share gain, growth, and penetration in key markets and vertical segments.
Aligns and leverages with Eaton’s existing sales channels for seamless customer and channel partner experience.
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Commerce or Engineering
Must have 3+ years’ experience in RTLS/LBS sales.
- A minimum of 5 years outside sales experience.
- Must be eligible for work in the United States without company sponsorship.
- Must be able to travel up to 60% of the time.
A minimum of 5 years’ experience in the RTLS industry
- A minimum of 5 years system integrator sales management experience
- A minimum of 5 years healthcare sales management experience
- Experience with executive-level interaction and negotiations
- Excellent analytical skills.
Strong teamwork and networking skills
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
