Eaton’s Power Quality Division is currently seeking a Senior Engineer Sales Support.Applications Engineering to join our team. This position is based at our San José, CR office.

The Senior Engineer Sales Support.Applications Engineering is  responsible to provide technical pre-sales support to the assigned customer base, to increase sales in the local marketplace, application guidance and technical assistance to assigned customers and/or distributors and facilitate the incoming of orders that are profitable to Eaton.

Some activities related with the position will be:

  • Manage technical aspects of the relationship with assigned customer base.

  • Work along engineer firms, distributors and end users to assist on the developing of PQ specification for new projects providing documentation for support and submittals.

  • Review specifications of existing projects to build configurations that meet specific and general requirements and generate pricing supported by technical documentation.

  • Constant update of PQ solutions as well as those from our competition to provide specifications and solutions with differentiation as well as added value from our products and systems.

  • Provides technical support to Eaton sales engineers, existing channels and users for reinforcement and assure that our solutions are the best for user’s needs.

  • Prepare technical presentations to create product understanding and awareness.

  • Assist sales with bid strategy and quotations to customers and/or distributors using company price and delivery guidelines.

  • Quote projects and negotiate correct required pricing with upper level.

  • Develops and manages power quality products and applications trainings to the channels for competence reinforcement.

  • Familiar with market trends, competitors, industry development and requirement so as to implement technical support to meet target sales objectives.

  • Assist team to develop a coordinated sales effort while keeping management informed of market conditions.

  • Build relationships with key customers to enhance long-term business prospects.

  • Perform all related activities as necessary to provide the highest level of costumers/clients satisfaction possible.

  • Meet any other activity assigned by supervisor or special requirements of the company.

  • Active participation in continues improvements programs and committees.

  • Build and maintain price list to channels.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field from an accredited institution required.

  • Minimum of 5 years on electronic/electrical or IT industry technical experience in a large company required.

  • Must have good verbal and written communication skills in English-Spanish required (90%).

  • No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates residing within the immediate geographical area will be considered for this position.

  • Valid Driver's license
