Eaton’s Power System division is currently seeking a Quality Lab Engineer to join our team. This position is based at our Querétaro facility.

In this role you will:

 

  • Prepare the reports and Dimensional Tests according to the requirements of the clients, internal and external, give the Support and supports to the different levels that are required

  • Act as a business partner by planning, initiating, leading, measuring, monitoring and assessing continuous improvement programs and manufacturing process improvements by applying appropriate Eaton Business Systems (EBS) processes and problem solving tools such as ELS (Eaton Lean System) and 5s.

  • Participate in setting, communicating and achieving department goals and objectives and develop and maintain performance metrics as required to monitor results and use those results as a tool to identify and initiate process improvements within own work area.  participate in continuous improvement teams in own or other areas to enhance plant results.

  • Be involved in Implement, promote and maintain a safe work environment by implementing a culture of accident prevention, investigation, equipment maintenance and application of rules. Identify, control and manage risks and hazards in their own area

  • Monitor, equipment and facility and initiate maintenance work orders as required, to ensure efficient, effective and safe working condition.

Required Qualifications:

 

  • Degree in Industrial Engineering or related fields required. 

  • 3 years of experience at least in a manufacturing environment automotive parts, Plastics and / or Electrical    Area

  • English - Required language, Conversational level 80% 

  • Experience in staff supervision

  • Extensive technical knowledge in the areas of manufacturing processes, quality control, plant engineering,    materials, maintenance needs and systems application.

  • Basic knowledge of national and local safety and environmental standards, guidelines and policies such as   ISO 14001, ISO 9001, ASME and 14.5 2009, Geometric Tolerances, MSA 4a, PC Dmis,

  • Applicable Standards and / or Regional Internal Initiatives.

  • Leadership skills, should be able to lead your organization in a continuous journey of sustained improvement, Teamwork towards Results of the Organization Basic requirements of the position

  • Wide Knowledge in Metrology, Dimensional, Torsional, Surface, Force, Flow, Hardness

  • Knowledge in Laboratory Administration.
