Manager International Tax Strategy
Eaton’s Corporate division is currently seeking a Manager International Tax Strategy to join our team. This position is based at our México City office.
Eaton Mexico is a complex organization with over USD $3 billion in production volume derived from manufacturing in Mexico. The Manager, International Tax Strategy has a key role in the planning function in Mexico. The role includes identifying opportunities, initiatives and incentives related to the Mexico region as well as designing and implementing structures to enhance the efficiencies of the Mexico legal structure. Though the main function is planning, the Manager, International Tax Strategy also oversees the LATAM COE compliance function, including expanding the COE to the Spanish speaking countries

A. Design and lead implementation of structure alternatives to simplify and enhance efficiencies of Eaton's complex legal structure including value-added solutions which will increase shareholder value, such as restructuring, acquisition integration and repatriation planning
B. Lean implementation of various projects and initiatives as required, such as federal, state and municipal incentives and tax process improvements
C. Analyze changes in tax laws to identify and solve complex issues
D. Work closely with Managers, International Tax Strategy in charge of Central and South America to analyze changes in Spanish-speaking country income tax laws, including the creation of models to score the impact to Eaton. Develop alternatives to mitigate the impact of adverse legislation, and evaluate potential opportunities
E. Develop business relationships with Managers responsible for International Tax Strategy for Central and South America. Establish strong relationships with Eaton's Spanish-speaking LATAM accounting/finance and operations personnel to proactively identify tax opportunities and risks.
F. Actively participate in Direct Tax audits with the Manager, LATAM Direct Tax COE, including the utilization of critical thinking skills and professional judgment to bring audits to a favorable conclusion.
G. Mentor and develop Manager LATAM Direct Tax COE, Supervisors and Analysts; and contribute to the success of the Direct Tax Team.

- Undergraduate degree with CPA or comparable qualification; Master of Tax or Law degree is a plus
- Minimum 10 years, experience with Big 4 combined with major corporate tax experience is a strong plus
- Demonstrated knowledge of tax planning, compliance.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
- Demonstrated leadership of tax team
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and responsibilities
- Ability to assimilate information from multiple sources
- Identify issues, develop and implement solutions; self-starter, able to work effectively with minimal supervision.
