You will fabricate reword on tanks and parts called for by NCR’s and ECN’s using all available engineering information.
You will correct fabrication errors caused by mistakes on the Weidematic tapes or general errors from the machine portion of fabrication.
You will rework field return tanks and parts to cut covers off using the air-air process or grinding stone when necessary. When cutting covers off, unit must be purged with nitrogen to reduce possibility of explosion.
You will use all weld fabrication equipment including: oxy-acetylene torch, plasma arc torch, tig-welder, mig-welders, stick electrode welder, stud welder, arc-air machine, iron worker, power hacksaws, vacuum pump, sabre saw, grinders, drills and any other special tooling that may be required.
You will operate various types of material handling equipment including: bridge crane, jib crane, gas and electric lift trucks and manually operated hand trucks when necessary.
You will weld radiators and lightening arrester brackets to transformers which requires some fitting and aligning.
You will put weld on covers to both Terra Tran and power units giving them a pressure test using air and soap.
High school diploma or General Equivalency Degree (GED) is required from an accredited institution.
Must have a Welding Certification and/or 2 years of welding experience in a manufacturing environment and pass the Eaton Weld Test.
Must be authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship.
No Relocation provided. Candidates must reside within the 50 miles of the work location in order to be considered.
