Eaton’s Lighting division is currently seeking a Marketing Communications Manager to join our team. This position is based at our Peachtree City, GA. facility

 
 

The Marketing Communications Manager – Commercialization is the marcomm business partner who works in alignment with the business unit managers and teams to help achieve the business objective; it is also responsible for creating marketing communication plans via collaboration and planning between the Product Marketing, Program Management and Graphic Design groups to launch and commercialize new product introductions. This role will create effective and integrated marketing, promotional and launch plans and ensure efficient delivery to internal and external sales teams to drive profitable growth for assigned business units.

  -You will understand the annual business priorities and goals for assigned business units, then partner with product managers to drive the completion of effective marketing communications tools. Responsible for providing routine progress updates to stakeholders and for driving the timely completion of marcomm tools. 
  -You will understand the Agile new product introduction (NPI)  process (ProLaunch) and participate as a team member, create work packages and collaborate with key stakeholders.
  -You will conduct diligent use of project tracker to manage timelines to ensure NPI commercialization aligns with ProLaunch timing.  Maintain access to the accurate product launch schedules and provide assigned inputs to the master NPI Operating schedule. Understand and adhere to the monthly and quarterly sales & agency communication plans.
  -You will understand “Why” a new product is created. Work with product management to understand target markets and end-users and develop messaging and commercialization plan via Market Launch Planning tools (OneLaunch).
  -You will lead the development of marketing collateral that explains the market positioning and product use case for identified key audiences. Requires providing directional copy and creative direction to the graphic design team.
  -You will understand paid, earned, owned marketing assets and marketing programs and leverage for NPI launch acceleration. Work with the Content and Demand Generation teams to develop the marketing plan & promotional tactics for platinum and gold launches. Coordinate the development of the marketing tools for gold/silver/bronze launches.
  -You will ensure all Marketing Communication data checklists are completed and delivered on-time for all NPI launches for assigned business unit. Liaison between Product Marketing, Program Management, Channel, Sales, Digital Teams for market launch plans and hold accountable.
  -You will provide guidance to internal and external creative resources to ensure brand vision and key messaging is captured. Govern for visual consistency across all marketing mediums via structured briefs and approvals.
  -You will create or collaborate to build effective presentations for internal and external use to support product sell-in, explain positioning or to gain buy-in and approval of commercialization activities.  Ensure materials are posted to the sales and agent portal.      
  -You will be a subject-matter expert on assigned product lines to the content & demand generation team as well as to Marketing agencies as needed (i.e. provide key points for initial draft press releases).

  -You will work directly with MarComm Coordinator to ensure launch is within planned SG&A and track ROI post-commercialization.
  -You will ensure effective materials are prepared for the agent webcasts and that production value is high-quality. Adhere to the production schedule. 


Eaton has announced its intent to spinoff its Lighting Business into publicly traded company (“SpinCo”).  This transaction is expected to be completed by the end of 2019 and this position is expected to remain with SpinCo.   The compensation and benefits that will initially be offered for this position are based on Eaton’s plans, programs and practices.  The Lighting Business is in the process of developing its total rewards philosophy, strategy and structure, including the design of its benefits and annual and long-term incentive plans that will take effect when SpinCo becomes a publicly traded company. If you are offered and accept this position and are actively employed by the Lighting Business when SpinCo becomes an independent, publicly traded company, you will be eligible to participate in SpinCo’s compensation, health, welfare, and retirement benefit plans and programs and should have no expectations that SpinCo’s plans and programs will mirror or be substantially similar to Eaton’s.

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
•A minimum of 5 years marketing experience
•Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future company sponsorship
•No relocation assistance offered; candidate must reside within a 55-mile radius of the work location 

 

Preferred Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a Marketing-related field or a technical/engineering degree
•7+ years marketing experience with marketing management experience
•Prior knowledge or experience in the commercial and industrial lighting space is preferred
