Eaton’s Fuel and Motion Controls division, a part of our Aerospace group, is currently seeking a Commercial Manager to join our team. This position is based at our Grand Rapids, MI facility.


The Commercial Manager is responsible for leading all aspects of the commercial function for the site(s) within the Fuel & Motion Controls Division.  In this role, you will position holds responsibility for all OEM and Aftermarket customers, managing the key functions of Customer Services, Contracts, and Pricing reporting to the Commercial Director for Fuel and Motion Controls.

  • You will lead Customer Service, Contracts and functionally responsible for Pricing within the site(s) ensuring functional support is provided across the organization as needed, and exceeds customer expectations
  • You will support the Fuel & Motion Control Divisional leadership team, with dotted line to the site(s) leader, providing leadership support is provided to the Plant leadership team(s)
  • You will own all contracts and pricing activity for the site(s) in both OEM and Aftermarket Channels and own all order entry across the site
  • You will ensure orders are entered IAW the contract, and that the customer requirements are documented and executed accurately.
  • You will  hold the operation accountable for delivering to these requirements, and that the plant(s) work with Pune effectively to meet customer needs
  • You will own SIOP step 1 and 2 for the site(s). Drives the SIOP step 1 and 2 process to achieve highest accuracy possible, and helping plant(s) to achieve 95% OTD or greater
  • You will support the sales / order planning element of the annual profit plan process for the site(s).

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a customer facing role
  • This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. ‘Green Card Holder’), Political Asylee, or Refugee
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship. 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Masters of Business Administration from an accredited institution
  • Knowledge of ERP systems, such as MFGPro, and an understanding of how the order to cash process works Experience with DataComm or working in the electrical sector
  • Prior managerial experience is strongly preferred
  • Experience with sales contracts and order management
  • Prior knowledge of business planning process and SIOP process
  • Experience with contracts, global trade management and an understanding of how decisions impact the financial metrics within Eaton
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and web based information and documentation systems
