Eaton’s B-Line division is currently seeking a Quality Manger to join our team. This position is based at our Reno, NV facility.
The Quality Manager is responsible for monitoring, assessing, supporting and improving the quality assurance system including the administration and training on critical quality requirements related to customer interactions, both internal and external, to support our customer requirements. In this role, you will support the establishment and sustainability of quality system metrics and tools using SAP to support the systematic improvement of site level quality system. You will develop and provide training for quality across all aspects of the business.

Assess, improve and maintain the quality assurance system document retention program to meet company policy.
Review, develop, implement & maintain Reno Quality Manual, procedures and instructions as related to the quality assurance system.
Improve, update & maintain the online QA database on the Cooper B-Line Intranet, QA tab.
Participate as certified Lead auditor in support of quality system requirements.
Perform Quality Audits at a designated frequency for external vendor base and keep approved vendor list up to date.
Provide training in critical skill sets in the area of product, process, and written instructions/procedures as related to the quality assurance system.
Define, develop, implement & maintain critical quality training modules to support the quality assurance system in line with the Quality Manual.
Develop and deliver new hire orientation training for all new employees.
Own the Corrective Action System for all internal CAR’s & Customer CAR’s and drive accountability to appropriate departments until acceptable corrective action is completed.
Partner closely with quality control, manufacturing, materials & product engineering to resolve quality problems & assist in the development of productivity, process, and product improvements as related to the quality assurance system, this includes new product development and product trial runs.
Provide support on the compliance issues related to customer requests related to quality.
Maintain all tactical quality assurance duties, such as, calibration, audit plans, CAR response, documentation retention, forms, instructions, procedures, vendor contacts & compliance.
Provide support of Continuous Improvement activities on an as needed basis.
Provide support on technical issues to resolve quality issues through problem definition, containment, and root cause analysis, corrective actions and evaluation.
Directly responsible and accountable for performance of duties and has the authority to report any quality issues.
Responsible for the duties of the QA manager as listed in Cooper B-Line Reno Quality system documents as delegated by the Division Quality Manager.

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution required.
Minimum five (5) years of experience working in a Quality function in a manufacturing environment.
Minimum five (5) years of experience working with ISO9001 compliant quality management systems or equivalent (i.e. AS9100, TS/IATF16949 or ISO13485)
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship both now and in the future.
No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within 50 miles of the Reno, NV facility will be considered.
- Previous management/supervisory experience
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt Certification
- ASQ Certified Quality Engineer
- SAP experience
