Senior Project Engineer - MV Switchgear

You will work within the Engineering Team and will report to the Industrialisation Manager.

Your main duties :

Liaise with customer throughout engineering and manufacturing phases.
  • Design electrical circuits according to customer specifications.

  • Draw up project specifications, liaising with customers to establish requirements

  • Liaise with customers on queries either on engineered or standard products.

  • Estimate cost and produce quotes on turnkey projects.

  • Liaise with the factory for required delivery dates.

  • Create requisitions for procurement of all equipment including buy outs.

  • Ensure proper engineering standards are maintained during manufacturing process.

  • Be capable of doing system studies.

  • Project Management.



What we are looking for:


  • A BTech or BEng / BSc in Engineering required. ECSA registration an advantage

  • At least 5 to 8 years’ experience in design of MV switchgear

  • Ideally be able to manage multiple projects at the same time and work independent and be able to take the lead on complex designs

  • Sound knowledge of Engineering practices and designs

  • MV protection philosophy knowledge

  • Be able to use EPLAN.

  • Consulting experience an advantage.



  • Valid driver’s license is essential.

  • Success driven.

  • Self-motivated and able to function with minimum supervision.
