As an Operational Data Manager you will co-ordinate and manage the gathering and validation of information, with emphasis on global IEC data, whilst setting the direction and systems for data management activities including; Bill of Materials, Drawings, Routings, Timings, Costs and Engineering Change Notices. This is fundamental to the successful operation of the company ERP system within a multi plant environment (SAP) and in providing efficient and effective control of the data contained within it.
You will work within our world class Technical Team in Leicestershire.
Your key deliverables:
Determine the effective use of SAP, SAM PLM, Solidworks, ACAD and all associated software to enable the effective and controlled sharing of data across global manufacturing locations.
Continuously improve the systems for storing and accessing data.
Liaise with Plant management teams, Engineering and Quality leads to ensure data is fit for purpose.
Set and manage appropriate standards for the use of all drawing software and be able to network within the wider organization to leverage the best technical solutions.
Manage the ERP system effectively to control cost positions and allow the manufacturing locations to remain competitive in the market.
Provide an effective Engineering Change Management system to manufacturing plants so that they remain compliant to the processes in place.
Degree level education or equivalent experience in Engineering, Systems or similar field
Proven experience in manufacturing, ERP systems, data management or industrial engineering
In depth knowledge of SAP, drawing software and lean
The ability to manage a team both local and remote.
Experience with change management
Process oriented and ability to contribute to continuous improvement.
Experience with internal audit
Experience working with multidisciplinary team
