Analyst - QA Selenium Automation

We are looking forward to a Test Automation Analyst in Eaton’s Information Technology department, based in Pune, India.

The ideal candidate should have experience in Selenium Web Driver, Selenium Grid and Java for Web Applications with a general understanding of additional tools like SOAP UI, POSTMAN, REST Assured, Cucumber and Jenkins. The candidate will also be responsible to adhere and contribute towards the Enterprise QA best practices within Eaton.
Review and analyze the requirement documents for functional and non-functional requirements
Define and execute test strategies, plans, estimations for small to medium size projects
Hold and/or facilitate test strategy / case reviews with cross-functional teams
Create and review traceability matrix between requirements and testing artifacts and ensure optimum test coverage
Create, review, maintain and execute manual test scripts
Effectively collaborate with software developers, project managers, database administrators, Business Analysts, Architects in a rapid software development environment to deploy quality products on time
Define and maintain automation testing framework for creating reusable and modular automated scripts in Selenium
Identify, log defects and participate in defect triaging
Create and distribute QA status reports, test closure reports
Capture data for standard QA metrics
Build and share domain/technical knowledge across the team/group
Participate in Continuous improvement initiatives related to processes or policies impacting QA for the applications/projects/enterprise.
If you are:
Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline such as: B.E / BTech / MCA / Equivalent or B.S. Comp Sci / Mathematics / Engineering / Equivalent with 4-7 years of experience
Testing, testing tools related certification is a plus
Knowledge of other programming languages like vbScript or Windows Shell Script
Prior knowledge or experience on agile methodology
Hands-on experience on testing of mobile responsive applications through Selenium / Appium or HP Mobile Center
Hands-on testing experience in all test activities for manual and automation testing on projects of small to large in size and/or complexity
Hands-on experience and expertise on scripting through Selenium Webdriver, Selenium Grid and Java for Web Applications.
Hand-on experience on TestNG testing framework and a prior experience of creating or maintaining a customized framework.
Sound knowledge of Jenkins, Git, Maven, Cucumber
Hands-on experience on test management tools like HP ALM or JIRA.
Well-versed with Software Lifecycle concepts like SDLC, STLC and Defect Management.
Prior experience of creating test estimations, test strategy and supporting documents like traceability matrix. Expertise in extracting test scenarios from Requirements and creating manual test cases.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational, analytical and communication skills.
Experience in a client-facing role for a top tier or similar consulting organization is highly desirable
Enthusiastic about learning large and complex systems.
Results-driven with the ability to take initiatives, handle multiple tasks and shifting priorities and meet deadlines.
Able to multi-task in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Excellent problem-solving skills, logical process thinking. Investigates problems to establish real or hidden causes.
Thinks clearly and calmly under pressure.
