Lead Additive Manufacturing Engineer


Your key deliverables:

  • Creates conceptual designs and coordinates with Operations organisation for the complete manufacture of additive manufactured components

  • Designs, instigates and documents testing to prove out Additive manufactured designs for development and qualification purposes

  • Recommends, assesses and implements design changes to optimize for additive manufacturing and facilitates reviews with Chief engineering

  • Identifies additional additive manufacturing opportunities within the product line and works with the Aerospace additive manufacturing team to put together a side-by-side cost comparison and value proposition

  • Understands customer requirements and Critical To Quality characteristics (CTQs) and ensures design meets the application needs

  • Provides status on technical accomplishments / issues to the Aerospace additive manufacturing and product line leadership teams

  • Motivates and educates site engineering on using additive manufacturing to solve tough technical problems Identifies and deploys design for AM tools to facilitate optimized designs

  • Develops design guides for componentry related to Airframe Fuel's product line




Are you


  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering.  Advanced degree preferred

  • Experience with design processes, new product introduction and creative/innovative thinking

  • Additive Manufacture design & manufacture, either within industry or university (industry preferred)
    Proficient in parametric modelling & simulation

  • Demonstrated leadership skills with a proven track record of driving change
