Job Description

Eaton’s Electrical Division is seeking an Engineering Services Intern to work at the Kitchener, Ca Location.


Working with the Electrical Engineering Service & Systems group to provide analysis, repair/assembly and testing of products serviced by the service center.


Essential Functions:

  • This position will be responsible for performing quality assembly and testing of products serviced by the center of excellence.

  • Visually check components and assemblies for electrical and mechanical defects.

  • Read and understand blueprint and schematics for assembly and troubleshooting.

  • Assemble electrical products including motor controls, circuit breakers, etc.  This includes all sub-assemblies to the component level and large-scale units.

  • Maintain quality records, calibration records, charts, and area performance to forecast as directed.

  • Receive direction and assignments from the assigned leader and report any problems to the leader.

  • Maintain a neat and orderly work area.

  • Observe all safety rules and practices.

  • Follow all company policies and procedures.

  • Be willing and available to work evenings and weekends as required by our customers.


Basic Qualifications:
  • Currently enrolled in an Electrical Engineering Technology Program.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Legally authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship.
  • No relocation provided – candidate must reside within 80km of the Kitchener, ON site. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Good organizational, mechanical and time management skills.
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and schematics would be an asset. AutoCAD experience considered an asset.
  • Demonstrated customer service ability.
