Job Description

Reporting to the UK Lighting Solutions Manager you will be responsible for selling Lighting Solutions and other associated Eaton products to major End User clients, and other key stakeholders including Energy Consultants, Specialist Contractors & FM Contractors.

The essential functions of the role include:
You will play a key role in driving energy solution sales across the UK by developing business plans to ensure that Eaton Lighting, Emergency Lighting and Central Battery products are specified / purchased by your target end user markets.

Attention to detail and product focus will assist in delivering business growth, which will be underpinned by a drive to succeed in sales

Tenacity in meeting your customers’ requirements together with an ability to influence both internally and externally to deliver an excellent service.

A significant element of the role is prospecting for new customers.

Ensures that the highest level of safety standards are implemented and aligned with MESH; Eaton’s Zero Incident Safety Culture as well as National guidelines and procedures.

Deals with customer disputes, complaints and quotes professionally.

The position also has a requirement for suggesting innovative ideas, to constantly keep the team moving forward, ahead of the market, ensuring maximum turnover and profit.

Support the UK Lighting Solutions Manager in the execution and development of an agreed strategy for Energy End User sales.

Achieve a set margin level

The support of growth within the Energy sales team

Continuously monitor and improve the conversion rate of quotes to orders.

Responsible for achievement of economic, quality and customer service.

Responsible for maintaining the good level of sales with existing key accounts.

• Should have an absolute determination and ambition to achieve in sales
• Must be motivated and organised with accuracy and attention to detail
• Must have the academic ability to successfully carry out the role.
• Must have a broad understanding of sales processes, strategies and project management.
• Must be approachable and able to communicate at all levels in an effective clear manner.


Degree Level or equivalent, preferably engineering or business related would be beneficial or proven industry experience
Proven track record in sales roles
IT literate, knowledge of Emergency Lighting and Central Battery Unit products would be advantageous
good communicator, able to work well with others, able to plan, organise and prioritise
