Eaton’s Lighting Division is looking for an Electrical VAVE Engineer to join our team! This position can be based at our Midtown Atlanta or Peachtree City GA office.


The Electrical VAVE Engineer performs a variety of engineering work in specifying, evaluating, testing, & troubleshooting electrical equipment and systems used in lighting products and related control systems.  This position will work closely with other disciplines in the development and timely completion of projects to include the planning and scheduling, cost analysis, evaluation of alternatives, design review, management review, tooling release and production release.

In this function you will:
  • Test and  evaluation of lighting fixtures, systems, and components (including LED drivers, sensors, and IoT based technologies

  • Develop automated test systems

  • Troubleshoot field related technical issues

  • Support pre & post sales technical issues

  • Be involved with manufacturing coordination

  • Prototyping, Bread boarding and building Proof-of-Concepts

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited institution

  • Ability to use basic electrical test equipment (power supplies, multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc.)

  • Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future.

  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position.  Only candidates within a 50 mile radius of the work location will be considered

Preferred qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, electrical engineering technology, or related technical degree from an accredited institution

Position Criteria:
  • Possess strong written and oral communication skills

  • Interest or experience in analog electronics

  • Excellent organizational skills

  • Motivated self-starter

  • Ability to work independently as an individual contributor as well as a team member
