Job Description

Eaton is seeking a Credit Analyst  for its North American Sales Division. The Credit Analyst  position will be located in Moon Township, PA.


Position Overview :

The Credit Analyst will analyze customer financial condition and authorize customer credit lines, minimize bad debt risk, maximize accounts receivable collections, assist with order management, provide customer service, reconcile customer statements/billings, participate in process improvement projects, and support other management directives as prescribed. This position will also be in charge of driving resolution of invoice and contractual disputes.  Will be responsible for communicating CCFS department and Eaton policies to internal and external customers.  Position will provide root cause reporting to the management team.  May also support special project initiatives as determined by management.

Essential Functions:
  • You will assess credit risk and establish/recommends credit limits in accordance with established limits of authority matrix.

  • You will negotiate customer discrepancies or disputes to resolution and document root cause.

  • You will analyze customer financial statements.

  • You will provide financial order management support to control credit exposure, effect timely payment, and minimize risk of customer disputes.

  • You will develop relationships with internal and external customers and suppliers and provide customer service support.

  • You will follow up with internal and external customers to ensure prompt payment of receivables.

  • You will maintain accurate credit files and collection files. Maintain electronic collection notes for each customer account.

  • You may be responsible for training new credit team members and others as needed.

  • You will document root causes of issues that cause receivable aging.  Report findings to management and suggest possible courses of action to remedy.

  • You will develop and implement process improvements to reduce or eliminate internal and external errors.  Will need to communicate effectively with all internal and external stakeholders.

  • You will ensure orders are reviewed and approved in a timely fashion.  Obtain approval for release in accordance with established limit of authority matrix.

  • You will support deduction resolution efforts of deduction analyst(s) assigned to portfolio.

  • You will participate in major department projects and take an active role in cross-functional teams to assist in driving quality improvements, processes, and initiatives.

  • You will abide by Robinson-Pattman Act, Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, Cannons of Business Credit Ethics, and Eaton Ethics Policy at all times.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree required from an accredited university.
  • Minimum 3 years credit related experience

  • Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future.

  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position.  Only candidates within a 50 mile radius of the work location will be considered

Preferred Qualifications :
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related area preferred.

  • Customer service experience

  • Experience with letters of credit and other risk mitigation tools

  • Strong skill set in Microsoft office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

  • Systems experience (GetPaid/Oracle/SAP/Vista
  • Experience pricing programs
