Job Description

As a Product Manager and Business Developer you lead product marketing and business development / support activities for the outsourced IT Rack product line in order to develop  the IT Rack business as part of the Eaton “White space” solutions across EMEA, in conjunction with Eaton Software, RackPDU and UPS products.  

The essentials functions are:
  • Leads all product marketing (50% of time) and business development activities (50% of time) for Eaton IT Racks (currently: RA range) in EMEA

     
  • Coordinates product marketing positioning and outbound messaging in EMEA for assigned product lines, working with Marcom team to develop and deploy relevant sales and marketing tools & campaigns (usually in conjunction with other components of the Eaton “White Space” solutions).

     
  • Coordinates pricing strategy in EMEA for assigned product lines, analyzing market pricing and closely monitoring end-to-end profitability

     
  • Trains Sales Force and Channel Partners on IT Rack offering  

     
  • Provides technical, product and pre-sales support expertise to the channel partners and Eaton local Sales Force, decides project quotations (Go, Go with partner, No Go)

     
  • Gathers voice of the customer and accumulates market knowledge of Enterprise IT and Data Center segments, as well as monitoring and analysis of competitive offerings

     
  • Investigates and evaluates new market/business opportunities, contributing to PQED product lines strategy planning, with a specific focus on the Micro DataCenter market.
    For this new Micro Data Center segment, incumbent will lead investigations to understand market potential and accessible market, will define relevant offer and price positioning, and lead relationships with relevant external partners (suppliers and channel partners) to build a successful offer.  

     
  • Contributes to new product development projects from the specification of market requirements to the launch of new product, including Solutions combining internal products and outsourced components


Qualifications

  • Msc, Bsc or equivalent education in the field of Engineering and/or Business

  • 5 years of experience in IT or  Electrical industry. Personal interest for  IT technologies, Data Center market and Software products is a plus.

  • Ability to learn, articulate, market and support products and technologies linked to IT and Data Center market

  • Ability to create customer presentations and deliver them, adapting to the audience

  • Ability to work in a highly international environment / in a matrix organization

  • Ability to think and act strategically, in a Distribution channel type of business

  • Ability to execute multiple projects simultaneously and complete projects with tight timelines

  • Must be strongly customer-oriented
  • Good written & oral communications skills

  • Excellent presentation and training skills

  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Fluent in English
