Director, Northeast Sales
This position is accountable to organize and direct the Eaton Crouse-Hinds Northeast Electrical Products (EP) field sales districts and areas in planning and conducting selling activities in a manner that achieves maximum profitable volume at an acceptable selling cost. Eaton’s Crouse-Hinds business manufactures electrical construction materials products typically used in energy extraction processing, transportation, generation and end use‑conduit bodies and expansion/deflection fittings, cable and cord terminators; conduit unions, reducers, elbows, connectors, conduit outlet and switch boxes; junction boxes, cast enclosures for circuit protection devices, switches, motor starters, control devices, instruments; enclosed power and lighting panelboards; enclosed and protected lighting fixtures; heavy‑duty electrical plugs, receptacles, connectors. All are in variations suitable for heavy and abusive service applications, and for use in wet, dirty, dusty corrosive, flammable or explosive environments

You will plan and direct the District Managers, Area Managers, and Sales Representatives, on specific methods to be used to ensure maximum profitable selling activities based on sales potential
You will analyze areas of responsibility, recommending change in sales force staffing, assignments and selling activities to produce maximum, profitable volume, at lowest selling cost.
You will annually establish with a Field Sales Plan with the vice president, based on EP's plan, to provide coordinated selling efforts in the field which will produce EP's sales goals.
You will balance top-line growth while managing price and growing market share.
You will manage a diverse and complex mix of customers, channel partners, and sales force to increase Eaton’s market position.
You will manage an increasingly complex and scale of portfolio, market segments, and customer base.
You will attract, develop, retain, and deploy strong talent.
You will focus on differentiating, bundling, and selling solutions based on broad understanding of customer challenges and needs.
You will build and lead a diverse and dynamic sales team.
You will lead, operate, and collaborate across the matrixed Eaton environment.
You will stimulate field sales contributions to new product development and improvement in present products.
You will recommend sales objectives by product or market which will improve sales performance of EP.
You will analyze and evaluate probable future selling costs to determine and recommend selling expense budgets across all sales organizations within Eaton to help identify Synergy opportunities for the entire Eaton organization.
You will develop sales plans, forecasts and objectives for targeted EPCs. Collect and supply pertinent market information to the Vice President, Product Marketing Managers
Minimum 5 years of industrial product sales experience
Minimum of 3 years of experience managing a sales team
Bachelors degree from an accredited university
Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing or Technical Sales from an accredited university
Experience selling into electrical or heavy industrial markets
7-10 years of sales and commercial experience may include: area sales management, territory management, sales engineering, or channel management
5 plus years management of direct or agent teams and senior-level sales talent; designing and executing a strategy through others
Cross-functional experience across roles and divisions - may include: product or product line management/marketing, custom manufacturing solutions center (CMSC), supply chain, operations, engineering, program management.
P & L responsibility; accountability to manage and deliver results per sales plan.
Strategic planning and profit planning experience.
Working in global role.
Electrical industry sales experience.
Experience with a start- up or turnaround.
Managing through channel conflict.
