Eaton’s Aerospace Group is currently seeking a Stockroom & Receiving Supervisor to join our team. The position is based in Jackson, MS.

 

The Jackson facility has approximately 500 employees and is a leader in the design, development, manufacture and delivery of Aerospace hydraulic components, systems and services to the global aftermarket and OEM markets. 

 

Responsible for supervising the activities of hourly employees engaged in receiving, storing, and disbursing raw materials, parts, and units to machining and assembly in order to maintain established production schedules.  #LI-JS1

 

 

 

The successful candidate will be able to do the following:

 

  •  Supervise the activities of hourly employees engaged in receiving, stocking, order pulling, and transporting material within the stockroom area.
  • Managing, developing and motivating the stockroom team, making sure they understand the importance of stockroom processes and safety

  • Supervise storage areas consisting of production stock and material handling equipment.

  • Schedule and plan work activity for approx. 20 people across 3 shifts, and instruct and assign work to employees to coordinate and carry out required material handling functions.

  • Work closely with other plant departments and supervision, including machining, assembly, product planning, scheduling, and maintain schedules.

  • Participate in the development and installation of material handling policies, procedures, and methods.  Provide recommendations and information generated by current and anticipated manufacturing conditions relative to operations supervised.

  • Manage Cycle Count Program for the stockroom

  • This position has a key role in Annual Physical Inventory for entire facility that contains average inventory of 50 million.

  • Ensure proper ERP transaction management to support inventory accuracy.

  • Participate with personnel of other departments to assure inventory turn rate.

  • Optimize stockroom storage and ensure efficient and accurate pulling of material.

 

 

 

 

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering or Business or Supply Chain/Production Control from an accredited    

       school.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Operations/Manufacturing

  • U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Resident status is required.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Experience in Production Control.

  • Thorough knowledge of Aerospace industry, complex machined materials management, lean manufacturing, MRP/ERP, and MFG Pro.
