Specification Sales Representative
Eaton’s Lighting Division is currently seeking a Specification Sales Representative to join our team. This position is based in Mississauga, Canada and will cover the greater Toronto area.
Eaton’s Lighting Solutions business is seeking a Specification Sales Representative to join our team! This position is based out of our Mississauga, Ontario facility and will cover the Greater Toronto Area.
This position is responsible for attainment of sales and specification objectives as set forth by the National Sales Manager in alignment with corporate and divisional goals. The Specification Sales Representative interfaces directly with assigned lighting designers, engineers and architects to influence specifications and provide consultation on the best lighting and control solutions to meet end clients’ needs. This person will also work in collaboration with the extended GTA sales team, as well as general contractors, contractors and distributions as required to close specified jobs.
You will work directly with architects, engineers and lighting design firms to understand project needs, assist in the development of domestic and international specifications and project designs and manage specification of the wide range of Lighting products, systems and solutions.
You will fosters productive working relationships with the key engineering firms and personnel.
You will provide training and demonstrates new solutions and products ongoing.
You will in collaboration with the GTA sales representatives, assist contractors and distributors with training and project management as required to ensure the effective deployment of specified Eaton’s Lighting Solutions.
You will manage and advances a pipeline of projects and opportunities within the C360 CRM platform. This role shall activate new specifications and projects and maintain an opportunity pipeline that is aligned with the revenue attainment goals for the GTA team.
You will collaborate with the National Account Manager, maintain and further develop relationships with key account designers and influencers. Support the creation of wider specifications at named accounts as required.
You will support out-of-territory sales agents in order to help influence specifications that are written at assigned firms for projects out-of-territory.
You will monitor share of specifications at assigned engineering firms and initiates proactive or corrective actions as required to ensure attainment of objectives.
You will ensure that appropriate technical guidance and assistance s provided regarding product applications in order to meet customers’ needs.
You will work closely with the Application Engineers to provide photometric design and analysis that can favorably differentiate Eaton’s Lighting Solutions.
You will work closely with and coordinates activities with all departments within Eaton’s Lighting Solutions business to ensure that company-wide goals are achieved.
You will serves as “voice of the customer” by identifying trends, making recommendations and supplying feedback to product management and engineering teams to ensure products meet and exceed customer expectations and future requirements.

College diploma from an accredited institution.
Minimum three (3) years of experience in lighting and/or controls industry.
No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates residing within 80 kilometers of Mississauga, Ontario, Canada facility will be considered.
University degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
Must be legally authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship.
