The role which offers a broad variety of responsibilities including international liaising and great learning opportunities.


A. Manage the SCM Projects with the Engineering Division from both short term and long-term perspective to deliver on Supply Chain and Engineering functional strategies.

B. Work collaboratively with Engineering Division Leaders, Business SCM leaders to define the road map for exploring New projects, tasks and processes with SCM Service Pune.

C. Lead Initiatives from SCM for Value Analysis and Value Engineering of Components, Program Managers / Co-ordinators on NPI & Re-sourcing projects, Collaborate with Engineering teams with Design for Manufacturability and Early Supplier Involvement in Concept phase of Design, lead Initiatives for Parts Rationalization Program by providing them necessary technical guidance and best project management practices as and when required

D. Develop customer relationships and monitor customer satisfaction on a regular basis, aligned with global SCM approach and processes. Customers will include both Engineering leadership and other SCM Corp activities, and will require significant interaction, including face to face project reviews. Responsible for customer service levels, establishing and renegotiating service level agreements and leading SCM representation in Engineering events.

E. Establish the hopper with all potential projects with unique ID, Track, Monitor & Control of the same

F. Establish dynamic dashboard with defined metrics to show the health of various projects being handled by SCM side & ensure adherence of the customer based metrics too

G. Identify, Establish, maintain goals and SLAs for the team in collaboration with client’s goal through Tools & systems like Sharepoint / PowerBI Dashboard etc., & track the progress

H. Proactive identification of Technology, Latest trends in processes, Potential VAVE projects for the Engineering team from available data & guide Engineering team on the priority of projects to work on including prototypes

I. Should be able to develop strategy for real quick prototypes with least cost model & improve productivity of the team by developing cost model of protos to avoid delay in RFX, Negotiation and finalization processes

J. Shall own end to end responsibility of the team including Performance assessment, Team Career growth, assessing their skill set and mapping the training needs, Finance budget and forecast, Attrition mitigation etc.,

K. Able to develop seamless onboarding process for any new joiners to ensure quickest onboarding

L. The typical categories would be but not limited to, various processes of Castings, Moldings, Stampings, Forgings, Machinings, Powder Metallurgy, 3D Printings, Plastics & FRP based, Rubber, Thermoplastic & Thermoset compounds, PCBs, Various Electrical & Electronics enclosures .


If you are:

           Bachelors in Engineering Preferably Mechanical

           Have 15 years in Manufacturing Industry with New Product Development role & Prototype development

           Have at least 2-3 experience of working with Engineering Divisions in Engineering Industries.

           Exposure to supplier management and negotiation

           Experience in Engineering and sourcing project management

           Experience with MNC process of NPD, NPI & Prototyping
