Eaton’s Hydraulic division is currently seeking a Quality Manager to join our team. This position is based at our Jackson, MI facility.
The Quality Manager is responsible for ensuring the quality of Eaton’s products through the development and enforcement of quality and manufacturing processes. In this role, you will develop and implement plans to achieve operation and group quality goals. You will direct the implementation and ongoing oversight of the Hydraulics Quality Leading Indicators and Quality Best Practices. You will ensure compliance to customer quality requirements and acts as primary contact for customer on quality issues. You will manage customer communications, corrective actions, customer NOEs, supplier quality, shop floor quality, and Eaton PPAP.

Oversee, hire, and mentor all areas of quality personnel including return material (warranty), receiving inspection, final inspection, supplier quality, manufacturing quality, customer quality, and quality compliance.
Monitor overall plant quality progress and performance and makes corrections as needed.
Act as a primary organizational contact for customer concerns and ensures appropriate corrective actions are deployed as necessary.
Ensure organizational readiness for customer and other third party assessments.
Deploy Eaton Business System tools, where appropriate or required, to improve Quality Management System effectiveness (i.e. EQS, QLI, PPAP, WISPER, etc).
Ensure that necessary organizational certifications and regulatory requirements are obtained, maintained, and improved. (i.e. QMS ISO9001 certification)
Develop and deploy effective FMEAs and Control Plans using Eaton PPAP to insure process controls and standard work is being utilized effectively on the shop floor.
Develop, set and achieve goals associated with the manufacturing teams that are aligned with the Quality Department and HPWT.
Ensure the promotion and awareness of customer and regulatory requirements throughout the organization.
Direct the disposition and investigation of returned material and internal non-conforming product. Insure that actions around top pareto items are identified and completed.
Maintain and action quality metrics: FRY, Customer DPPM, CONC, Scrap $, Warranty $, Customer Corrective Action OTD, Customer Audits, Supplier DPPM, Supplier Corrective Action OTD

Bachelor's Degree from accredited institution required.
Minimum five (5) years of experience working in a manufacturing environment.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within a 50 mile radius of the Jackson, MI facility will be considered.
Three (3) years of experience in a Quality Engineering or Quality Systems Management role
Three (3) years of experience in supervising technical teams
Working knowledge of Quality Management Systems standards
Read and understand Blue Prints, Specifications, and Requirements
Six Sigma Greenbelt or Black belt Certification is preferred
Quality System Knowledge (e.g. AS9100, ISO 9001, TS16949)
ASQ CQE or CMQOE is preferred
Advanced skills with MS Office software are preferred.
